Sharonne O’Shea is a licensed acupuncturist and sole practitioner at Acorn Acupuncture, PLLC. She graduated from Bastyr University with a Master’s of Science in Acupuncture and emphasized oncology, pediatrics, and mental health in her studies. She continues her Traditional Chinese Medicine herbal education there. It was during her time at Bastyr that she realized the irony of referring to individuals receiving health care, particularly herself, as “patient.”
Practicing acupuncture is Sharonne’s second career. She studied Biology and History in college and put these to use along with her graduate studies while working nearly two decades for Washington state, chiefly in environmental subjects. From this experience, Sharonne developed a personal belief in the inherent resilience and interconnectedness of systems, including the human body. TCM is an excellent companion to this belief.
When not in the office, Sharonne might be found outdoors gardening, hiking, rowing, biking, walking her dogs or goofing around with her two daughters. She has recently become a resident of an Animal Crossing island and reads voraciously.
